Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to paid ScalableAPI engagements for API transaction audit monitoring, control checks, diligence support, and workshops described on this site. Website browsing is free and not subject to refunds.

Eligibility

Refunds are available only for fees paid directly to ScalableAPI under a signed statement of work or accepted quote. Informational fee ranges on the website are not invoices.

Timeframe to request

Refund requests must be emailed to hello@scalableapi.digital within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request (for example cancellation confirmation or disputed invoice date), unless the statement of work sets a different window.

Full refund

A full refund applies if we cancel an engagement before kickoff for reasons within our control, or if you cancel in writing more than 10 business days before the agreed kickoff and no preparatory work has begun.

Partial refund

If you cancel after kickoff, fees for completed stages (briefing, trail collection begun, draft findings delivered) remain payable. Unused future stages may be refunded proportionally at our discretion as stated in the statement of work.

Non-refundable items

• Deposits marked non-refundable in the statement of work once kickoff materials have been received and review has started.
• Third-party costs already incurred with your approval (for example booked on-site travel within Taiwan).
• Completed workshop sessions and delivered written memos or audit packs.

Work already started

Once trail collection or document review has begun, that stage is considered started. Time spent is billable even if you later pause the engagement.

Deposits

Engagements may require a deposit to reserve analyst calendar time. Deposits are credited toward the final fee. Forfeiture rules appear in the statement of work when a deposit is requested.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may request to reschedule sessions with at least 5 business days’ notice at no additional fee once per engagement. Later changes may incur a rescheduling charge reflecting analyst rebooking. Cancellations should be sent in writing to the email above.

No-shows

If your named attendees miss a scheduled workshop or walkthrough without 1 business day’s notice, that session is treated as delivered for fee purposes. A replacement session may be quoted separately.

Refund process and timing

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days of approval. Refunds are returned via the original payment method when possible. Bank transfer refunds may require additional account details from you.

Exceptions

If a statement of work conflicts with this page, the signed statement of work controls for that engagement. Statutory rights that cannot be waived under Taiwan law remain available.
